Why 42° Parallelo?

The 42nd Parallel (in Italian 42°Parallelo) is a book written by John Dos Passos in 1930, characterized by an original and innovative narrative structure. Using an experimental technique, the author created a framework or plot of stories in which the following are woven together: character portraits, informal dialogue, official communications, stories, cultural insights, songs, biographies, environmental commentary, cuttings from newspapers and other authorial digressions.
The architectural principle that unites these elements is similar to the process of film editing. In our work, like that of John Dos Passos, we seek to create a kaleidoscope of stories that encapsulate a significant moment or happening in time.

We are story “architects”
